Would you like to spend time with your dog off-lead in a fenced park, or on a lovely private bushwalk? But sadly other dogs and people make it too stressful for you and your dog?
Our 25 acre facility is at East Kurrajong, in a beautiful part of the Hawkesbury (NW Sydney) An easy drive on the motorways from the inner sydney city suburbs. We have a dog friendly cafe around the corner, lots of amazing local produce including a few great butchers just down the road so why not make a day out of it!
TWO GREAT OPTIONS FOR PRIVATE HIRE
Private Bush Walk, Field and Dam Hire
Our bushwalks are on 5 acres of wonderful bushland that your dog will love. There is a shorter and a longer track, the longer is around 20min with some lovely spots for photos. Included in your hire is a large unfenced private 5 acre field along with the dam, and a box fill of toys! The property is electric gated, so you will not have other people or dogs showing up during your visit. All sessions are private hire. Each session is 1 hour with a 30min change over, so plenty of time with no cross over with other families. Days/times are on the Booking Form Below. Your dog will thank you!
Private Doggy Park Hire
Our fenced yard is over an Acre for your dog to run and play in, without you having to worry about what is coming in at any moment. Our Parkour Playground, Huge Bone Pool and Toybox will keep pooches of all sizes and abilities entertained! The private property is electric gated and there is a visual barrier at the front, so you will not have other people or dogs showing up during your visit. All sessions are private hire. Each session is 1 hour with a 30min change over, so plenty of time with no cross over with other families. Days/times are on the Booking Form Below. Your dog will thank you!
Days/times available are on the booking form, but you can contact us as below for other times if you can't find one that works. Once you complete your initial booking, there are heaps more options for days/times and discount packs too!

FAQ's
- If the weather is unsuitable can the session be rescheduled?
YES! You can reschedule 2 hours prior to a visit, if the weather is predicted to rain, be over 32degrees or high winds. All other re-scheduling must happen minimum 24 hours prior.
- Is the fencing around Isobel’s Yard suitable for all dogs? How tall is it and what type?
YES! The fencing is setup to contain small and large dogs with small mesh, and has a 30cm dig barrier except at the gate. The fencing is 1.4m high but the entry gate is 1.2m.
- Can my dog be off-lead on the un-fenced field and bushwalks?
YES! Plus there are long leads to use, or help as a backup when you first arrive if needed. But if you are comfortable with them being off-lead you are very welcome to let them off! Many dogs after coming a few times, are able to experience off-lead for the first time in their life.
- Can I purchase Treats and Toys from your store? www.politepaws.store
YES! However you need to order online prior to your hire, and we may need time to order things in. If you wish to ensure items are in stock or to check out products, please email Lisa prior to booking info@politepaws.com.au. But understand we will not always be available to do this as we do not run a physical store.
- Will we encounter Animals?
MAYBE! We share the property with kangaroos, bearded dragons, wallaby, frogs, many types of birds, a goanna, echindnas, turtles, ducks and a wombat. And yes 1 family have seen a non-aggressive snake in the bush, but we have never seen one in 7 years so you're not likely to.
- Can I drive down to the bottom field to park near the Gazebo?
YES with 1 car! There is also a large parking area near the facility that can be used.
- Is there Water available onsite?
YES! But... We run off a tank filled with rain from our roof, so have to be water conscious. The water is better boiled, but okay to drink in small amounts. The water bowl will be refilled prior to your visit and a hose provided to top it up. There is a tap fitted with an aquapaw bathing tool, if they have too much fun in the bush/dam and need a quick rinse.
- How many dogs/cars can come to a booking?
THREE DOGS coming in ONE car! If you wish to have extra cars ($5 per car) or up to 5 dogs ($10 extra) After booking use the below forms to add your extras Initial Property Hire Tag-Along Form or this one if they have been before Return Property Hire Tag-Along Form. If you want to have more than 5 dogs please email us to discuss due to wear on the grounds and noise created for neighbouring properties info@politepaws.com.au
- Do you have Bindii and other weeds in your grass?
NO! We work really hard to keep the property well kept, so it is as comfortable for our guests as possible. That includes keeping ontop of weed control, picking up sticks and blowing off the tracks.
- Are there toys and leads available if I forget mine at home?
YES! There will be a selection of toys and biothane long leads, but make sure you return them to the tub and you select the right size toy for your dog. Regular wear and tear is fine and the toys are all tough toys, but if a toy or lead is destroyed, the cost of replacement will need to be paid for by the hirer.
- Is this suitable for my anxious or reactive dog who can't come when called and barks at dogs/people?
YES! This property was purchased and set-up specifically to cater to your dog. There are far less triggers, Isobel's yard is fenced and we supply long leads for safety in the bush areas that can't be fenced. Lots of amazing smells, textures and sights for your anxious dogs to explore without the stress of other dogs and people.
- Is there a toilet on-site?
NO! However if Lisa is available to provide access to the training facility, in rare circumstances that can happen. There are public toilets on the way at the petrol station on Putty road, Wilberforce shops and Windsor. Plus ones a 5min drive at the sackville ferry on sackville road.
